Local history museum "Crazy school"

Local history museum "Verrückte Schule" The address "Inselsbergstraße 48" is familiar to every citizen of Cabarz and Bad Tabarz - especially if they are older residents. This is where you will find the literal "crazy school", which was given this original nickname by the Cabarz locals in October 1899. The reason for this was the unusual movement of the entire school building at the time. Built in 1784, a year with little traffic, a good hundred years later the school building stood increasingly in the busy road and was pushed back a full four meters as a result. The road was now wider and the village had gained a new experience. Another 100 years later, in 2001 to be precise, the building was given a facelift and now houses the Tabarz local history museum as well as the municipal library. Anyone interested in the beginnings of tourism in Bad Tabarz/Cabarz is in the right place in the "Crazy School" with its changing exhibitions and museum offerings. But where in Bad Tabarz would this not be the case?
